Schwinn MantaRay's....
The Yellow is a 1971 and the Orange is a 1972. The MantaRay's were made only the two years 71/72 with 1972 having the rear Disc Brake.
The 71 I acquired I don't remember where I got it from (lol) but the Orange is mine from when I was 9 years old. I remember the local Schwinn dealership in Lawrence, MA. had very colorful bikes in line for their displays as well as in the windows of the store. The Krates were big at this time and this line up of Manta's were fairly new. My mother brought me to buy a bike and I told her I wanted the Orange bike. The tag on it then was around $86.
I still have it (and the Yellow) and it's kept covered up in the trailer.
My prior bike was a Columbia which I will post once I find a photo.
