Here is a 4 1-2"H Bengal tiger figurine designed by artist Jorge DeRosa for Artesania Rinconada of Uruguay, item #803A from their 25th anniversary gold & platinum accented animal series of the late 1990s

Thank you B for your wonderful comment & I'm really glad you saw the beauty in this tiger. I'm a big fan of the Rinconada anniversary animals exactly because of those gold & platinum touches, they truly enhance the animals. Have my eye on another one & hopefully can nab it

Lol Karen, love your fab & fun comment, it reminds me of a couple things...firstly, my mom hated big cats & when I brought home a calendar of them she was horrified & said "it looks like they want to eat you" :) I always found their eyes to be so beautiful & inscrutable esp the tiger's lazy golden gaze. Also, there was an old movie about a village terrorized by a maneating tiger on the loose that was exciting, possibly had Sabu in it, saw it as a kid & never again. This one's a lil cutie to me, maybe separated from its mommy, but think the artist did a good job on the face
That's such a CUTE little tiger cub!!! I don't think I've seen anything as cool as her, look how sad she looks, or at least mournful...definitely captures the attention of the plight of these creatures in the wild. She's a great advertisement for them as a whole. I can't believe her body and face are sculpted so perfectly!
Lauren isn't this little tiger adorable, I just couldn't resist him with that sweet face & lifelike striped body - it's really hard to find a tiger in glass that shows much detail, so this figurine was an exciting find & I'm glad to bring you an exotic animal out of the norm.
