Here is an 8 1-2" knobby textured deep red glass starfish paperweight with amberina ends from Blenko Glass of WV, with silver orig label ca the 70s-80s

This looks tactile and weighty and delicious.
Very cool starfish, the colour is great, such a deep russet brown red. Really makes me think of genuine starfish and coral reefs etc.

DejaVu thank you for your superb praise, I thought this starfish did have a realistic look & am glad you agree. Labels are always a great bonus, though this starfish is a recognizable Blenko it's still nice to have

Karen thank you for your marvelous praise and you're so right, this piece is ultra heavy, also big & broad, so I needed to move other glass out of its way to keep them safe :) But it's a nice reminder of the beach & walking along the shore. It's been a cool late Spring here so only visited the beach boardwalk once, but getting warmer & soon we'll be out there picking up shells in the sand
It's really got that natural look Lauren, I agree it's quite a cool piece and love that intense red. Hard to tell from my pix but the ends change from red to gold making it brighter. Thank you so much for your fantastic compliments
