We found this vase at an auction. It is a beautiful piece and it resembles a Brilliant glass vase at the Corning Museum of Glass. However, I don't know the pattern, brand or maker. I'm sure some one out there does.
Also, the vase has a cloudy film on the lower part. I've tried vinegar, glass cleaner, hard water stain remover and nothing seems to work. What else can I try?
    Thank you so much!

This vase is cloudy, also referred to as "sick" glass. There is nothing you can do to clean it out. It is caused by water being in it too long and it eventually breaks down the surface of the glass. The only thing you can have it done is polished out, which is very expensive. You can put a thin film of oil on it to mask it.

Thank you so much Paul! I appreciate your response and expertise. Since I have it just for display, I sprayed a paper towel with some WD40 (which is mostly fish oil) and wiped the inside of the vase with it. It looks really great now. Thanks!
