Pat. Nov. 26 1901-March 19-1907- April 17 1908. Chicago Ill. Phone was passed on from generation to generation.

    It appears that the phone may have been taken apart and reassembled with the transmitter backwards. Every make and model of candlestick phone I am aware of was made with the receiver hook/switch on the left side.
