I love these old newspaper adds. I've got three bankers boxes of old newspapers from the early fourties that were used as insulation and padding under the linoleum in my house. Great news stories from the war, local adds, sports, comics. The lack of light and air under the linoleum kept them in really nice shape. Some day I hope to find time to sort through them and seperate the wheat from the chaff.

Someday never comes. Set aside an hour a week for you and your boy to go through them. You'll both benefit ! (just a thought!) These were my fathers...I found them in his estate.

In my collection is a newspaper file for the month of May 1932.
The file is hard bound approx 17" wide,25" long and 2" thick.
I bought it several years ago off of ebay.Paid more for shipping than for the file.
These were used in the larger librarys and may still be in use today.
It is great to open this up and read the news of the day and the advertising from autos to Zastrow popcorn.
