Here is an approx 5"W green carnival glass lion on a fluted oval base by Summit Art Glass of Ravenna OH. Last photo shows the V in circle mark for Summit owner Russ Vogelsong, as well as photo & description from book Glass Animals & Figurines by Coe. The lion was named Oscar by Summit, made betw 1979-1980

Phil there was a choice of many colors for this Summit lion, I loved the emerald green the best. While scanning thru one of my glass animal books it occurred to me I never had this one. Thank you for your awesome comment
Bernard he is certainly looking quite regal isn't he, the pose is kind of like the statue lions seen on the banisters of important buildings, could that be his inspiration. I don't have many glass lions but always love to find any of the jungle cats esp a nice one like this. Thank you for your wonderful comment
