Small is Good. 503-17 means that it is just 17 cm tall and the number of the form is 503. It was diminutive on the shelf but the decoration just grabbed at me as I grabbed it by its slender waist and headed for the register. Not sure if it is an Ernst Stauber design or not - perhaps someone who knows might help me. There must have been a similar version at 20cm tall too. Love this MCM W-German pottery.
