FRENCH LINE
DESIGNER/ JEAN LUCE
MADE IN FRANCE
PERIOD / VERY LATE 1920'S OR VERY EARLY 1930'S
TYPE/ASHTRAY
MANUFACTURE / SARREGUEMINES
Ive had this for many years now i would say about 15 years . a great piece of history .
The logo that can be seen in the corner of the ashtray is that of Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (or Cie Gle Transatlantique)

These ashtrays are most commonly seen in glass and less in ceramic.
I think it's a beautiful design.
It's a good find. Congratulations
In 1935, Jean Luce designed porcelain and glass for the ocean liner Normandie, adopted by the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique for their other ship.
