This clock 1856 case is bronze with brass plating, Müller's top of the line. It stands 19.5 inches tall. It depicts cupid watching over two nude toddlers, hiding in a grapevine laden with grape clusters. It retains it's Waterbury movement and after cleaning it keeps excellent time.
Nicholas Müller sold his clock cases to a number of clock companies, Waterbury being one, Seth Thomas, Kroeber, Ansonia, New Haven, Ingraham, Terhune and Edwards, etc., so seeing one of these cases with multiple clock company movements is not unusual.
Müller are very collectable and beautiful.
