This is a fantastic piece of Art Nouveau glass found on eBay AU, a rather uncommon decor by Kralik.
The vase is made from cased glass, a pale mauve over an opaline interior, with a bottom up spatter in a deeper shade of mauve.
There is a smooth satin finish, which nicely complements both the delicate colour & bold, simple form.
It measures an impressive 30.5 cm tall, 7.5 cm across the top rim, & 12 cm across the base, which does not have a pontil mark.
An example of the Lavender decor by Kralik, circa 1900.
Note that the colour, as so often happens with shades of mauve, is incredibly difficult to capture accurately. It is more mauve in real life than here, where it appears white. Usually I can get a slightly better version of the colour outdoors versus indoors, but no luck with this one, perhaps because it was cloudy today.
