This is my Art Deco lady Dancer. She came from a antique shop. I paid $10.00 for her because the tips of her fingers are broken. Sad but still beautiful. I formed my whole perfume collection around her. She has a S with 2 hammers through it as the marking on the bottom. Does anyone know this mark? I thought germany but not sure. Would appreciate your input. Thankyou, Nina

It might be Scheibe-Alsbach/ Thuringia. Can you put up a photo of the mark? Another possibility with two definite hammers but Sch underneath is Schumann & Schreider (1905 until 1986).

Thank you vetraio50, I added the mark thats on the bottom of the art deco dancer. You'll find it here listed as Art Deco Dancers identifying mark. Sorry pics wasn't as clear as I would have liked it to be.

Thankyou for your comment on Art Deco Dancer. Your cheering me on! I didn't have much confidence in this statue because she has tips of her fingers broken but I thought her grace and beauty still shined right on through. Besides she looked so lonely on the Antique Stores shelf, She sat there 2 months before I bought her. She was considered a defective piece. But not much of an investment for me. And shes GREEN! I love it!

I found out exactly what this deco dancer is. I was browsing Ruby lane an there she was. I can't believe she is part of a art deco lamp! She had a large moon behind her that would leave the impression that shes dancing in the moonlight. Still don't know exact age but 20s or 30s seemed appropriate. I suppose the light of which she sat upon was broken. I would like to include the picture but I would think it would be advertising. It was a 400.00 piece intact. I wish I had it! Thanks for help certainly seems vetraio50 has answered the question about maker mark. As for the piece as a whole I don't know as it was a lamp.
