Can anyone tell me what this little pot is please? There are no markings on it and I would like to know how old it is. It sat on my Grandmothers shelf for years and because I always loved it so much she left it to me.
Someone told me it was Staffordshire and that it could be worth a lot and I should get it valued for my house insurance, is that true??
I would really appreciate any information. Thank you.

he does look really old!! most likely inspired by the Toby jugs, which have been made since the late 1700's. Many companies have made them for hundreds of years. Certain ones (from various companies) are incredibly collectable, others are much more common. Your best bet is to find someone who sells or buys Toby jugs, and see what they think of it. There are also lots of books around that tell you about the rare ones. Good luck!

Thank you very much for that Luisa, I will investigate further.
