The first photo is my paternal grandmother and her letter box. The little glass covered dish with a duck on it is something I have loved since I was a child.
The second photo is my maternal grandmother (as a very young child and a teen) and her letter box. The flower frog is also hers--metal with two ducks and the holes for the flowers between them. She had several very unique flower frogs that got me interested in them.
The third photo is her husband, my maternal grandfather. He got me interested in old photos, especially slides and viewers. This viewer was what got me started. The "book" is actually a slide storage box. Looking at the family pictures through the viewer made me feel like I was inside with them. It fascinated me.
The last photo is my mother in her late teens or early twenties.
Thank you. I literally have a storage bucket filled with old family photos. And about 2 more buckets filled with photos of just my daughter. :)
