Friday morning my friend and I headed out to the Covered Bridge Festival. We drove through the country looking for garage sales or anything that was for sale. Our first stop was at Morton, Indiana. In and out of the car as fast as we could trying to get to the next destination before anyone else for the big score. Second stop was Bellmore, Indiana at state road 59 and US 36. Found a few things there and back in the car and headed towards Rockville, Indiana. Found a few more things there but nothing to write home about. Headed north on forty-one towards Veedersburg, Indiana. Before we got there along the way there was a nice antique store full of primitives. My friend happen to find something there. Back in the car and still heading north. Along the way there were some flea markets but nothing of interest to us. We talked and decided to go to Covington, Indiana because we know there is a great antique store in town with real antiques and not all the garage sale items and flea market things like so many are today. I found this all original one-cent Ohio Blue Tip Matches machine there with the key. The machine is manufactured by The Columbus Vending Co. Columbus, Ohio. It was made back in the 1920's. This made my day finding something this old and nice and still works great. Another item to the collection. After this the guy at the antique store put us in the direction of Illinois. We headed that way to a place way off the road that he told us about. Her building was full of some real nice things. Managed to pick something up there and decided it was time to head home. So we jump on Interstate 74 and back to Brownsburg, Indiana. It was a great day of traveling the roads of Indiana and came up with some unusual things to share with you all.
