This is one of my old Hymn Book. Published by William Clowes. The original publish date was 1861. Unfortunately,the cover page is gone, not sure when it was published. I believe in the 1860's later Hymn books have measures and notes, this one does not. It is pocket size.
I really like old hymn books. I believe all hymns are prayers set to music.

thanks jason. my mom has an old hymnbook that her great great great grandfather had in the civil war a pocket sized edition similar to this one, except it is Baptist.
