The Coca-Cola gods must have known I needed a little pick-me-up today. A 9" round celluloid sign purchased last week for $135 total was delivered to my doorstep by our USPS angel. This is a very nice example, "mint" I believe, and just what Dr. Pemberton would have ordered to cure my recent blues. My third one of this type, I have them hanging up the thin strip of wall just this side of the wet bar. I will enjoy this one especially I think. Hope everybody is having a nice weekend. -- Dave

Thanks Bernie and Perry. I grew up with older siblings. So I had to learn to take it as good as I can give it. I've been subjected to some pretty twisted humor, nothing new. I remember one time, my brother... ah, I won't go into it... ;)

All eBay finds. The late 30's sign was a buy it now $178 total, the 50's sign was a bid auction $30 won it (was covered in grime, cleaned up real well), then this 40's sign I negotiated $135 total buy it now. Yikes, so that's $343 total for the three. Man, that adds up! The one I received today looks like it just came out of the wax envelope.

I know you're looking for one of these, I'll keep my eyes peeled. earlycoke in one of his earlier posts said this version is pretty common, but I haven't seen only a couple come up this year. Next time I see one I'll send you a note.

i really need to start using ebay if i want to get these US signs, its hard to find them without ebay, i guess thats why antique prices have dropped in the last 5-10 years more people are starting to use the internet and hard to find items are becoming easier to find/get.
