This is a small trench art inkwell that has been crafted from scrap brass and copper. It has a 1 3/8" diameter and is about 1" tall. There is some dark remnant of the ink still inside.

The hinged lid has been adorned with a WW1 era British General Service button. On the side are the numbers "18. 15.", with no other markings.

As with most British trench art it is very well made.
