    Need help. These scissors were ID'd to me as a cigar cutter/snuffer. Can't find anything like it anywhere. Looks like the prior owner cleaned up the brass (it is non-magnetic) with a file, but made it all shiny. 6" long overall. One side has three short pegs which keep it slightly raised above the table. Anyone out there seen anything like this and have an idea of value? There are no markings.

      Sorry to revive a dead question, but I have the exact same item now. How does it work. I'm a cigar guy and can't make heads or tails of it.

      Looks like a wick trimmer for lamps.

      Interesting thought. I was starting to think maybe it was to clip your ash to save the cigar for later.

      It should be noted there are no sharp edges.

      It is a cigar cutter, if it works it cuts a V shape I believe Winston Churchill used one?
