HERE IS BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING PAPERWEIGHTS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I NEED SOME HELP IDENTIFYING THE MAKER. THE PIECE IS 5" TOP TO BOTTOM & 5" SISE TO SIDE. AND WEIGHS AT LEAST 10 POUNDS. AQUA BLUE WITH A EXPLOTION CAPTURED INSIDE. THE ARTEST CAPTURED THE EFFECT A SINGLE DROP WOULD LOOK LIKE JUST AFTER IT HIT THE WATER. IT GIVES IT A ATOMIC EXPLOTION LOOK. HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN THIS PIECE? I TOOK IT TO A PAPERWEIGHT COLLECTOR AND WAS TOLD "THAT IS THE NICEST PAPERWEIGHT I HAVE EVER SEEN" PLEASE ANYONE WHO MAY KNOW WHO CREATED THIS FINE PAPERWEIGHT PLEASE LET ME KNOW

    Unsolved Mystery

Hi I have a very similar one , it is done by contoling a bubble as it is turned.
I got mine at a market in late 1970's in Australia but it came with a German label on the base. the tehnique could be done by a very skilled glass worker any place .
