Wine Bottle? Need help.

I found this bottle in a box that belonged to my grandpa. I am looking for any info and it. It looks to be wraped in leather and has gold colored handle. The cork is still in it but has dried out over the years. I can't find any info on what it held or from what year. Any info you can give me would be great.
