Need Help In identifying how much t is worth! It has to rare RIGHT! It says the NEW EDISON and right below says the new phonograph with a soul. It is from the Standard Slide Corp. and something to do with Whyte & Son. Can somebody tell me anything about these. It was found in my grandmothers Edison but is not the model pictured that I found it in.
IT is in excellent condition just need some cleaning but i;m not willing to do since it could ruin integrity of piece.
Please help!
It is a magic lantern advertising slide from the early 20th century.
The value is very minimal due to the damage. In perfect condition it would still probably be less than $30.

Just curious how come ith would not be worth more? You would think since it is so small and could break easily.
These lantern slides have a limited collector following.
Take a look at ebay "magic lantern slide" to see what is currently out there on the market. If you look under completed auctions, it will give you an idea on prices paid recently by collectors.
