This lamp isn't marked anywhere, but judging by the wiring it is 1960s, or it was rewired in that period. It's a very unusual style, and I haven't ever seen one like it. Any ideas on the manufacturer or a more specific time frame? Thanks!

We have a pair of these lamps that we use on our bed nightstands. They come in a range of colors (ours are green and rust red). My wife saw them in a magazine pic 30 years ago and fell in love with them. We eventually found (separately) two and are thrilled with them. Very handy since they have 3-way switches that allow for adjustable quantity of light and they can flex for highlighting things ~ in fact, the store display I listed here recently is spotlighted by one side of this very lamp.

That's cool Pencil, thanks for sharing! I'm glad you enjoy them. We got when we were helping a lady move into a condo from her much larger home a couple of months ago. You don't still have that magazine by any chance, do you? LOL

Actually, aycock, we do. My wife was in the habit back then of cutting out pics & articles she came across of gotta-haves and putting them in a 'wish book'. This is one of the few furniture items we were ever able to snag (at prices we were willing to pay) and the reality in their case was as good or better than our imaginings.

Ok... found it. The article was in the May, 1988 issue of Metropolitan Home. It is about a hip designer couple living in NYC and they had a couple of these lamps in their apt. And in one picture is a similar table lamp that is equally awesome, but a slightly different configuration. It has the same curled leaves, but with round wood? 'flowers' instead of cattail heads and a single round parchment shade. Seems like the same maker to my eye.

That's interesting, Pencil. Glad you found it. I'm not sure who the maker of this is. Thanks for the comments!

I'm disappointed to report that my wife sold this at a garage sale we had a couple of weeks ago. I guess that's what I get for leaving it in the garage..

OMG! I'd freak! I just bought a lamp exactly like this from an Etsy seller at a GREAT price in the 'shrimp pink' color. Talked to a local repair shop today about getting her cleaned and he said it was a $300 lamp. My heart goes out to ya....
