Thanksgiving dinner ~ 50's style

We just took down Thanksgiving decorations (including this item) and I figured I would post this for folks' entertainment.

A bit of background for the kids in the audience.... in the good-old-days of the 50s, you could get your film developed & printed out in fold-out folders that held all the shots on your roll that stored accordion-style. (The original sleeve is the blue envelope on the left side of the overall view) Over the years, some of the pics have separated on the folds, but fortunately these all remained together in the file for us to find.

This couple decided to document their celebration from start to finish ~ from stuffing the bird through leftovers on the table when they finished.

Love the fold-out card table and the man slipping back for 'seconds' on turkey!

Just goes to show ~ it's not how elaborate the celebration, it's how heartfelt it is.....
