I acquired an old sewing machine. I have been trying to find out some information about it. I cant find anything under the company name nor the model number. i would to get an idea how old it is.

    This machine looks to be a Japanese or Asian import, sold by or for, a company going by the name of Normac. It was made in the 1950's.

    Sorry Derek it's really impossible to say. Is it in full and safe working order? does it have accessories? A manual? If it does it may be worth $50 - give or take $30. Electric machines are not valuable. It's not going to put your kids through college :) An antique store may not even be interested. It's a 15 class machine with droppable feed dogs, if it's working and has accessories you may get interest from someone who wants to use it. Many of these can be found at thrift stores, the price is guided by condition and funcitonality. They don't really have value as 'antiques'.

    Bernadette, electric sewing machines CAN be valuable, depending upon the age, rarity, condition, and how many accessories are still present. To say that my circa 1928 electric sewing machine by White (in the link below) has no value would be incorrect:
