    This was in a box of Velox paper prints made by our family 1890s. Kodak bought the rights to 'Velox' itself for a vast sum in 1899. This has the original name of Nepera Chem co punched in the paper, back says Carbon Velox 3 1/4" by 4 1/2

      Would love to know the story behind the pose.

      Don t know but this piece may have been on the top of the box as a sample of the paper finished/developed. So maybe this shot came from the company. I have maybe prints from this box my wife's great great grandfather make them.
