"The beer you've been looking for." Hamms Beer sign. Another wonderful beer sign that we were able to receive from my husband's grandfather who owned Clearlake Tavern many many years ago. A man canoeing with a big beautiful bear riding along.. It has a light behind it to light it up when plugged in. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

"From the land of sky blue waters" My aunts parents owned a tavern also, This signs twin sister hung just over the cash register. That would have been in the late 1960's or early 70's. Thanks for the memories.

I'm working on finding out some more information on the ownership of the tavern of my husband's grandparents. We have several more which I will share in the near future. (Just got a new camera for Christmas and had to try it out on this!) Thanks for sharing your story!

It was made by Lakeside Plastics in Minneapolis from 1968-73 Closer to 73 as it features real life bear,Sasha, and Earl Hammond, her keeper-the Grizzly Adams type guy who replaced the cartoon bear in their advertising campaigns. Its one of the non moving versions, which featured a still scene rather than the scrolling waters, which is the most desirable version.
