I've had this doll for over 40 years and I don't know anything about it's origin. She is 23.5 inches tall and is a walking doll. She also "cries" when tipped. The marking on her neck says 1909 Germany. I think her hair is human hair and it is glued right on her head. She has a beautiful face with 4 little teeth showing. Her eyes open when tipped and her eyelashes are full. Her arms are jointed at the elbow and wrist and her legs swivel at her knees. As her legs are moved to walk, her head moves side to side. I'd love to know more about her and what she might possibly be worth.

German doll by company by Schoenau & Hoffmeister porcelain factory, also known as Porzellanfabrik Burggrub, was located in Burggrub, Germany near Kronach, Bavaria was founded by Arthur Schoenau and Carl Hoffmeister in 1901. By 1907 the two partners were in disagreement of the type of porcelain heads for their dolls. Hoffmeister insisted on producing shoulder head dolls, while Schoenau wanted to produce socket head dolls. Unable to resolve there differences Carl Hoffmeister left and Arthur Schoenau became the sole owner.
Your doll by her number 1909 is the mold number . She is referred to as a Dolly Face Bisque doll. She has sleep eyes and fully jointed correct composition body . It is sad these dolls have fallen in price in past few yrs . You need to check head very close for cracks even fine ones we call hairline cracks they actually look like a dark hair on bisque . Her value is in 200 dollar price range . Dates from early 1900. Beautiful doll to cherish . She also has her original mohair wig and all her eyelashes which is good . If you store her do it face down on soft cloth so eyes don't fall back into head . on her back the rocker arm that moves eyes can shift .
Thanks for sharing your lovely doll She is also one of the most common found doll by them and price varies from 50-200 appx depending on clothes being original or antique right to era and general condition and coloring of face paint that there is no wear to it . Hope I answered all your questions :-)

I added to examples of one's that sold this week , One had a extra old lamb with her , Yours would be in middle of them in price . She is not meant to walk so don't do it much the old rubber strings that hold her her together could break and they are very tricky to re string because of all the joints .
I believe this has solved your mystery for you :-)
