It is alway nice when you find what you are looking for, but this week was a little extreme. I found four (FOUR!) pieces of Scandinavian glass: two iitala Utima Thule pieces, a Kosta Boda snowball and a mystery piece...still trying to ID it, but it has that "look and feel". (help appreciated here)
To top it off I found some bonus Danish Hoyrup pieces. Since the thrifts were actually bare boned I am shocked at this bounty.
OK, I know I have posted a lot of Scandinavian glass pics, so unless something really new comes along I will restrain myself from posting.
I know you will all be relieved! (heehee)

      No need to restrain yourself!
The mystery votive might be Lindshammar?
Like the Hoyrup village life too!

It's not the Orrefors Nimbus, nor this one:
Nybro did them. The Japanese were too!
The shape might give it away: it's not an artichoke, nor a tulip......

      I know V! This is a tough cookie...eeeerrrr, votive.
I would be hunting the Polish glass but it really has that Scandinavian vibe. Hmmmm...
Thanks for the love Manikin, Austro, Hedge, Bellin, Kerry and Vetraio!!!

Since I have been possessed by Scandinavian glass, around three months now, I have found five Kosta Boda snow balls, one polar, one sunflower, three Ultimate Thule pieces and one mystery piece. All at the thrift, all for a dollar except the six dollar pitcher. Wow! Writing it all down it seems like a ton. How much did I pass by over the years???
    8. AmberRose AmberRose, 10 years ago
All my snowballs are tha same-ish size, four inches or so...
That pitcher has already had some tasty liquids in it!
You are so good to your friends :)

Scandi!!! You totally rock!! Thank you. I was just about to launch back into the Orrefors pool to dig some more. I thought it was Scandinavian. Sometimes it pays to chance it. Thanks again!

Please Post as much as you want! I love to read about what it "is" about certain things that 'catch the eye' and start the collecting bug...if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have known about Lisa Larson, and now I'm fascinated...I still don't have any, but, I'm looking!
And all my old family photos, I look at a bit closer now, because of this site.
There are a lot of things I might have just discarded a few months ago, but now appreciate because I've seen them here on this site, Manikin & Scandi & Bellin & Vetraio&Hedgewalker&ScottV&Walksoftly& You &Deanteaks&TallCake& so many others have been so helpful! And I certainly enjoy your sense of humor too!

Beaux, you are as cute as pie! Thank you.
You are absolutely right. I have learned a whole lot from the folk on this site. All of the new ways to look at photos, LL and much much more.
Sanity on posting back in check...but still insane regarding S. glass ;)

Bellin, found another snowball today! Where is the promised paperweight?
    13. AmberRose AmberRose, 9 years ago
Thanks Amy! I will start digging into this!
I told Bellin that I am having a snowball problem. The week before I left for vacation I found five! I think my total is almost 20 now. It is ridiculous. I can't seem to leave them, especially as they have been well under a dollar. What's a girl suppose to do?
