This is a favorite piece of mine for sentimental reasons. Would love to know if anyone has seen any like this Hummel I've tried to look up info on this piece and can't find any. The bottom has a stamp dated 1955. Thanks!!.

Yes, thank you scandinavian_pieces. How sweet of you. I was looking at the link from my smart phone and comparing to what I have. Big difference after seeing it larger on my lap top. I now think it is the same piece. Thanks again for all your trouble :D

First I think it is real cute. I am no expert but I had 'read' that the older Hummel figurines have the Bee and a V also on them. (different types of patterns) The later ones from 1979-1990 are marked with just 'Goebel W. Germany'. As far as the one you have with the date being on it , is a puzzle to me. I would have it check out. I sure hope you didn't pay allot for it.
