    Hello...

I am trying to identify this watch. It is quarter sized, 14 K and has a 'toggle' like attachment on the back. It looks as though it was meant to be used with a chain, as a cufflink (though large for this) or in a button hole on a vest. It has a red 12 and a stylized monogrammed W. I do not know the maker at this time. Too afraid to pop open the back on my own.
If you can point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful!

    Aimee

First off it's a transition piece, it could be used as a pendant or wristwatch, I'd be guessing , but would date it around the teens to early 20's. These came out in that period, Elgin made it's first piece in 1911. That,s about all I can tell you wuth out knowing anymore. Still beautiful piece, thanks for sharing>
