    This is a really good old Pepsi bottle from a home health patient of mine today. Great bottle! Does anyone have any info on this bottle, in the close-up you can see a 3 and a 7 so I am wondering if this is a 1937 bottle? It has the OCBC embossed on the front of the bottle. Can anyone help me to date this bottle or give any info on it? I know it is 1940s or earlier with the "double dot"

      Well, all I can tell you is that the marking on the bottom indicates "Owens Glass Works", he made the very first automatic bottle making machine, so this bottle must date between the late 20's - mid 1930's (so I guess the "37" makes sense), that's when owen's was really mass producing soda bottles, and almost had a monopoly on bottle making. Also, the O C B C is probably ___ ____ Bottling Company, I would do more research to find out what bottling company this is. That's really all I can tell you, I know alot about bottles, but not "P-Word" bottles.

      Thanks Cocacolakid for the info. I finally got time to do search for the OCBC and as I expected was Orange Crush Bottlling Company. Found this historical website for the bottling company in Marion Va which is only about 20 miles from where I got this bottle.

      so it does seem 1937 is appropriate, they have an image of a very similar bottle to this and it also helped me to recognize two other bottles I have from the 40s's.

      I found this symbol >>"https://i0.wp.com/www.glassbottlemarks.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/owens-illinois-mark-77.jpg?resize=300%2C225&ssl=1"<< on the bottom of bottles made by Owens-Illinois, which merged with Corning Glass Works in 1935. Owens Bottle Company (1903-1929) merged with Illinois Glass Company in 1929 and became Owens-Illinois.

      I believe the OCBC might actually stand for Owens Corning Bottle Company
