    Hi,
I picked up this jar today. It has the sloped shoulders and has a lot of bubbles. I am trying to find out why the F is backwards. I haven't seen any like this and if it is rare or valuable.

    Thank you!

I recall seeing this issue presented on another site not long ago. The reply was that the jar was made in 1971 and was a reproduction. I have no idea whether that was ever found to be verified but I mention it in the event searching for reproductions might be helpful or even quicker. I often use the terms fake and reproduction in a search. It usually brings back pictures to compare so I have both original and fake side by side. Searching only for an original usually doesn't show the fake item.

Thank you for the quick response!
Do you have have any links? I can't find any with the F to compare to. ...Or can you tell me what differences to look for? It has the ground lip.

Definitely not a repro. Listed in Redbook no. 11 as entry numbers 1998 to 1998-2, quart size. Depending on a few other embossing placements, value is 60-120. Nice find.

      I agree, not a reproduction.
