Connecticut colonial coin M19-g.4. These coins were produced in Connecticut from the years of 1785 through 1788 with approximately 355 varities. Other states such as Massachusetts, Vermont, New Jersey, New York and Virginia also produced copper coinage. The coins were used by the colonist due to the scarcity of coinage to conduct transactions.
