There is a very small sticker and says: Hand made in the Czchec Republic Glass Artisans since 1440.
Can anyone tell me anything about it.

Does anyone know anything or maybe a little about this vase. I forgot to mention that it weighs about 3-4lbs.
I would search eBay for Czech glass. If you don't see it, there will probably be a number of manufactures names to start searching.

Hi, I have been searching all over the internet and eBay. No luck on finding anything about it. 8 years ago I bought this in a shop just starting out in Maryland and it was sitting on a shelf all by itself. I loved the color and design of it and I only paid $25.00 for it. Thanks for your reply.

They mention Chribska: the oldest surviving glass works in the area we call Czechoslovakia is Chribska ( in German: Kreibitz). It is now in the Czech Republic.
The Chribska sticker has a boat with four masts: each mast is a digit: 1414.
This is the date that is suggested as the beginning of this firm.

The weight is 3-4lbs. The writing is on the side of the vase and it is one of those clear sticker.
It's about 5-1/4" tall
width in the middle is about 16" and it tapers to 8-1/2" at the bottom.
The design has all different swirls going in and out, which makes it hard to measure for the diameter.
Is that 15 and a quarter inches?
16" is very big.

It is quite a chunky piece! I know what you mean by the swirls ..... they are like "love handles".
LOL!! I agree. The sticker is a clear adhesive with blue letters. It's 5 and a quarter inches tall.
Oooff. I just tried to hunt this down and my eyes are now crossed! Gosh they the Czechs make a lot of things out of glass. 5 plus inches tall, and 16 ish inches wide? Would we call this a bowl? Picture makes it look much smaller width wise.
Hmmm....will try another approach.
Note: V is like a detective looking for clues, I round 'em all up and consider them all suspects :}

It is not a bowl, I think the width is big in some places because of all the grooves in the design.
