i got this from my mom.i know it,s murano,not much else about it.measures 11-1/2;; long by 8'' wide.any information about the year or what kind of bowl it is,would be helpful.and what it is worth would help too.i love this piece.you can email me at debbieipock1@yahoo.com.thanks..debbie.
It was made in Murano, Italy. Look up A.V.E.M., you'll also see it as: AVEM. It stands for "Arte Vetraria Muranese." I have collected several that are similar to yours. I started collecting with a heavy ashtray that my grandfather bought new in the 1950's. Descriptions can include "Tutti Frutti" and "end-of-day" which are bits & pieces left over at the end of the day, like latticino & millefiore. I hope this will help!
