This is my 1935 Olympia Elite portable typewriter in great condition. This machine has been in my family for as long as i can remember and i am only 15 years old. My grandfather owned this machine and a few years before he passed away he was giving it too a auction. My mother didn't agree with it and bought it. She owned until i was around 10 years and then she gave it too me when she saw i became interested. I hadn't used it for a few years. Maybe i wrote a couple of pages on there. "With a lot of spelling errors" and then he went back in the closet. When i moved here from Holland i became interested in typewriters when i found a Underwood typemaster in the thrift store in town. I got that for $3,00 and was totally crazy with it. I just kept on typing. That is how my collection started.
The machine is like i said in great condition. It has a few scuffs and the case had to be repaired because it didn't hold the typewriter in place. I cleaned the machine as best as i could. I spended 7 hours of work on this machine. The only thing that was a problem (Not anymore) was that the metal paper supports besides the strike port, one of the screws were missing and it tended to sink a bit onto the keybasket. That made the ribbonadvance not funtion very well. It tended to get stuck when you switched the colourselector to red. I didn't find a screw for it Yet but as tiny as they are i will try to find a replacement screw. I have a Royal HH in the garage for parts. Don't worry, it didn't work anymore and was total loss when i got it. I don't destroy typewriters if they work. I use the ones which really are retired. Anyway, that was the only thing i could find on it that was a minus. Beside the normal wear and scratches, this machine is rare and in great condition. This machine is also capable of writing in English and German, (also dutch like i said) which makes this a three language machine so rare. Great condition. Mytypewriter.com sells them for $600,- with a normal keyboard. But i am not going to sell it. It has the basic features,

    *Colourselector
    *No 1 key
    *Papersupport
    *Carriage release
    *Margin Release
    *Paper release
    *Manual Margins at the back
    *1 1-2 2 spaces
    -NO TABULATOR-

Please leave a comment if you wish to explain something or make a second add on this machine.
There was a other collector on Collector Weekly the same age as mine who also had a dutch typewriter. He also collects. I would strongly advice to check out his post.

Thank you for checking this add out and i wish you all the best in collecting and if not, just find a typewriter. I see them coming back more and more.
On my school they get daily use. In the office they use the plastic electric smith corona's and believe it or not,
in the library they actually use a Smith and corona Classic 12

Great to know and i love it when people get irritated by the sound when the librarian types book lables. Let them suffer. I love it.
