I came into possession of this Ginny doll recently. I remember Ginney dolls very well, because I have 4 daughters and the oldest was born in the '40,s. Can anyone tell me what this dolls name is and where I can buy a ginny doll book?

Vogue Ginny was known for his outfits, and is a doll that has collectors that specialize in just Ginny. The eBay doll board is good for indentification on Ginny. She looks like she is a painted lash, so the date pinned to her seems right.
This is a 1955 Merry Moppets Ginny. #35. It appears that you have a complete doll, including the purse. A good book for IDing Ginny is Vogue Dolls by Judith Izen and Carol Stover.
I Love the dolls. I got 2 dolls one of them which says on her back Ginny , Vogue Dolls Inc. also a number 2382887594. Also I have another doll of the same family with the name Alex on her back . Very beautifuls dolls. They came with several different outfits that fit each dolls . I was interested in checking the value of these dolls but am not sure how to go about finding out . Can anyone help?
