This is a yard sale find. Pictures do not do it justice...colors in slag glass: shades of yellow, pink and green. I have checked it all over and do not see a signature. Any idea of the era and maker? woulds love to know any info. Thanks for looking....liz

Thanks everyone for loving this lamp as I do. Does anyone know how old this lamp may be?

So many of these have been reproduced, it is hard to tell from the photos posted. Seeing the inside of the shade, the light sockets and the bottom of the base are more important to determine weather it is vintage or new. Also can you tell weather a magnet sticks to the metal? The pictures almost look like it is cast iron, because of the screws holding the shade frame together.

Thank you so much rocker-sd. The light socket says Leviton...This is such a heavy lamp..I would say Cast iron also. It is funny about the magnet now that I try does not stick to all parts...not the base or lamp shade (except for the very bottom trim on the shade and very top trim on the shade )..sticks to braces and only some parts of the middle of the lamp post. What does that say about this lamp composition? Thanks for all help...Liz

My husband tested with a strong magnet and I see now that the magnet only sticks where there are screws...not to the lamp metal..since it is very heavy..would this be brass?

More then likely pot metal or white metal, which was common on both older and modern lamps of this type. If you want to know for sure, find a spot on the bottom where it can't be seen, and make a small scratch. If looks silver, it's pot or white metal. If it looks gold it's brass or bronze. If it has a Leviton socket I think it probably is a modern lamp, or was recently rewired. Again without seeing all the details of the lamp it is hard to make a decent asessment.
