      European military from the very late 19th/ early 20th century.

      I cannot see that well through the glass dirt. If you can take it out of the frame and post clearer pictures (front and back), I may be able to provide some more information.

      Well, I can see he's holding a British Army Home Service Helmet, likely Victorian although I think they were worn into the Edwardian period. Beyond that, like scott, I'd need a clearer picture.

      I found a reference online to Andrew William Dron, he was in business in London in 1904.
