with European city names around this name, must be the model, Came from 1850-1915 family,s of my wife's. leather is really nice, this name on front is the historic Hotel in Italy http://www.hoteltramontano.com/
This is not leather i think some kind of Tweed i just read history of Franzi very old company and Gucci worked for them before he was famous
