On the bottom of the tin it reads

The marbles did not come in the tin they are part of my collection

When I was in grade school late 70's early 80's our class had to sell popcorn as a school fund raiser. You could pick from different tins for your package of Orvil Reddenbachers popcorn to come in.. My parents picked this exact one, I don't know what ever happened to ours. I don't know if that may have been a reproduction of an earlier or tin however, mine looked exactly the same though
