This is one of the first jugs i got. I wastold it would haveprobably havebeendesigned by the German designer Heinrich Loffelhardt, but haven't been able to prove it.

It's an amazing design that combines geometric lines with the organicity of the medula handle.

    What is the handle made from?
    You used 'medula'.
    I have hardly ever come across this term in English.
    It refers to the spinal cord (médula espinal) normally.
    To me it looks like cane.
    It is very beautiful and clever in itself.
    I'd not seen one before!
    Is it "cane" ( mimbre )? or is it pith (cáscara)?

    Oh yes, it's cane!!!... Medula is one of the words we use in Spanish for it (but it also means the spinal cord)
