Ever buy something because you don't know what it is but it's kind of cool?
Well I bought this tank thinking it could be from an old bicycle gas conversion. Didn't pay much for it and it has a couple soft spots in it.
A little research discovered it was a fuel tank for an old kerosene stove, but the more I looked at it the more I saw a race car hidden in there. This is where I have gotten so far. The piece cut out for the cockpit was reversed to make the tail. The sight glass will come out and be replaced with screen for a radiator look. Plans call for leather upolstery from an old pair of gloves, wooden dash, and if I get really motivated, working steering. The radiator cap is from an old perfume atomizer bottle. Like the way it looks so far.
    What do you think?
