This patent model may not have been patented because it was too similar to gate patent #191,417. The patent model requirement was meant to allow the patent office to compare patent applicants with existing patented articles. This was stored in a barn in western Canada for many years. It is a treasured addition to my collection.
One of the best looking gates yet in my opinion. A solid looking gate.
I love it. Had a nice email conversation with the young man in Canada that had it. His father had stored it in their barn for many years.
