I had no doubt this was a Swedish design but... who made it? which glassworks produced it? My guessing all the time was Bö Börgstrom for Aseda but never found any data to prove it. By the way, it's got matching glasses which just look like the jug with almost identical proportions.

But yesterday designqvist told me that my yellow jug was Alvesta, a brand I had never heard of before, and I changed the name to its post, and I also commented that on the Gullaskruf FB group, where last week I uploaded its picture. That was when I thought it was Gullaskruf... haha, all this sounds like a huge mess... (well, I have to say someone told me it reminded him of Ryd). Anyway, what happened next is that AnnaLena Norrbin posted two pictures: one of a jug simmilar to the yellow Ryd one, and one of a real Alvesta jug... this jug!

Thus I'be been able to identify this jug as an Alvesta. There's so little information about Alvesta online there is no way I'm going to find out more about this jug. Such a pity!

The very best thing: yesterday I was able to identify three jugs!

Yesterday I found a picture of the matching glasses for this jug and one of them holds the Alvesta Glasbruk sticker so, there's no doubt at all about this jug now.

The glasses too are really amazing. Wonderfull shape and color. And interesting how the internet helps in identifying designs. It wouldn't have been possible without!

I really loved the set when I got it (even if I've just got three glasses) and that was a looooooong time ago. This is amongst the ten first jugs I ever got.

Internet has always been a great source of information for me. There are even a few websites which have become my glass bybles!!! but simply surfing the net has proved a great way to learn. One never knows what's going to find at the next click!

LOL Well, the jug in itslef is red but quite a simple design... I didn't take the picture with the glasses because they've been kept in a box under my bed for... let's say a couple of years.

I wish I knew if there's a good (famous) designer after this jug... not that is important at all. It is god honestdesign and Ilike it a lot.

Wooow, thanks Vet! this red and clear glass combination looks great! (I'll keep it in mind, just in case I find clear glasses for any of my red jugs LOL)
