This seems to be an older metal (tin?) chicken I recently found in a field. Small (4"x4.75"x7/8") and kind of faded but otherwise in fair condition.

great find I love it . Could it be an advertising piece for a farm selling eggs ? it does not look like a part off a weather vane . I have one that is plain no color for a weather vane but yours is wonderful ! Hopefully someone will know what it is for you . Thanks for sharing it :-)

I don't think this is a weather vane piece because it is so small and it is hollow.
