This is a box that came as part of a Polisher/Sander kit sold by Craftsman in 1952 & 1953. I found it at an estate sale with the polisher, which looked like it had been run over by a truck. Knowing the polisher was not repairable, the gentleman sold me the box for $1.00. After some rust removal, clean up and paint it turned out pretty nice. It is now used to house my Craftsman Palm Sander.

Very good re-purposing, usually these just get tossed.

You did one heck of a job restoring it. I just threw away a Kennedy box, I would have given it to someone if I was aware they wanted to restore it.

The before and after pic's a fun to see.
