4 old blob top beer bottles I grabbed at a barn sale today.

    1) Joe Doelger's Sons New York - No other real markings other than "This bottle not to be sold"
    2) North American Brewing Co. Hamburg & Greene Aves. Brooklyn - marked "B" on the bottom.
    3) S. Liebmann's Sons Brewing Co. - marked B-8 on the bottom
    4) Otto Huber Brewery Brooklyn, NY - marked "B4" on the bottom

I don't really know anything about these....just thought they were neat and I would share. If anyone knows more please let me know.

While hunting for mushrooms, I found a whole cache of old bottles: green, white, old liqour bottles. Are they worth holding on to?

Interesting. I've thrown a few in recycling bin, but have kept quite a few after I came to my senses! No doubt they've been there since the '60s-

Thanks so much for your insight!

Your bottles date from the 1870-1885 time period. They probably had a Putnam cork retainer type closure.
