Nothing unusual, just another slot machine.. other than it is located in our home. Iowa allows its residence to own a machine that is at least 20 years old. Which is just right with me.. the later machines with the bill changers, card identifiers and all of the other electronic gadgets do not excite us.. Obviously too controlled.... The local house rule, play our money and if you win it is still our money... Play your money and if you win.. good luck in collecting! :-) Just like the real thing..

Love the machine and your narrative! Boy, are you right with Iowa/gambling! Former husband was from DeWitt. OMG, gambling was legal in the Quad Cities! In '74, went for a short visit to his parent's farm in DeWitt (population 50?) and then surprise... ended up at a little dive I think in Bettendorf, and the Black Jack playing tables were crazy! I can't remember how the 'house' made their money, because I recall that a player could actually 'deal the cards'. I was 22, what did I know? At that time, there was a 55-60 year bouncer walk'n around the tables with a 45 in his belt... how fun it was back then, and especially for Iowa!
